Over the extent of ones lifetime the cost of eyeglasses can quickly add up. The typical insurance only covers eyeglasses every year so its important that we take proper care of our eyeglasses. Some tips that our Optical Gallery has comprised to make those frames last a little longer include:
- Please remember to always remove the frames from your face using both hands. Using one hand will eventually weaken the hinge and you will be left with a one sided pair of glasses.
- Never use cleaning agents on your eyeglasses, especially ones containing ammonia. The special coatings that our lab uses on each pair of glasses can be damaged with many cleaning agents.
- Please use the cleaning solution we supply. It was designed just for you, for this purpose. Nothing else, could work better.
- Please use the cloths that we provide or a very soft cloth.
- Never use paper products.
- Please take the time to put your glasses back in a solid protective case. The jumble of the purse may not wreck keys or coins, but keys and coins in the purse wreck eyeglasses.
